Role & responsibilities

Cashier :

- Handle daily cash, card, UPI and other payment transactions.

- Prepare and verify sales invoices and receipts.

- Maintain daily cash and transaction records.

- Perform daily cash and payment reconciliation.

- Verify billing, discounts, payments and customer transaction details.

- Coordinate with the accounts/finance team for daily sales and collection reporting.

- Assist with bank deposits and financial reconciliations.

- Identify and report discrepancies in cash, billing or financial records.

Backend & Inventory tagging:

- Maintain accurate records of diamond and jewellery inventory.

- Perform jewellery tagging and ensure correct tagging of products.

- Verify item codes, weight, purity, diamond specifications, pricing and other product details.

- Update inventory records and system entries accurately.

- Verify physical stock against system records.

- Assist in stock reconciliation and identify discrepancies.

- Maintain documentation for inward and outward movement of jewellery.

- Coordinate with sales, accounts and inventory teams.

- Prepare inventory and reconciliation reports using MS Excel.

Qualified Qualities & Personal Attributes

- Good communication skills with a polite, confident and respectful manner. clearly explain bills, payments, refunds, and related matters.





- Properly maintain and reconcile daily cash.

- Accuracy and attention to detail,

- Efficiently handle multiple transactions during peak hours.

- Excellent grooming and professional appearance suitable for a premium jewellery showroom.

- Well-presented and appropriately dressed in formal / premium business attire.

- Good common sense and ability to understand situations and respond appropriately.

- Strong discipline, punctuality and professional behaviour.

- Honest, trustworthy and responsible, especially while handling jewellery and customer information.

- Positive attitude and willingness to accept feedback and improve in performance.

Preferred candidate profile

- CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance.

- Strong numerical and analytical skills.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel.

- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

- Ability to handle confidential financial and inventory information.

- Ability to work accurately with high-value products.

- Jewellery/diamond inventory, retail billing, cashier or backend experience will be an advantage.

Note: Working hours and weekly offs will be as per the requirements and operating schedule of the retail jewellery business.
