Kolkata-based exporter of sustainable bags and eco-friendly accessories for global markets.

Role summary:
Senior leader owning QA/QC for raw materials, production, finished goods, and pre-shipment for export customers.

Key responsibilities:
Define and maintain quality standards, tech packs, sampling plans, and SOPs.
Lead incoming material checks, in‑process inspections, and pre-shipment inspections.
Manage QC team, hire/train inspectors, set KPIs, and run factory audits.
Coordinate lab testing for strength, colorfastness, chemical/REACH checks as needed.
Control non-conformances, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
Manage supplier qualification, performance scorecards, and corrective action plans.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, social/environmental certifications
Handle customer quality communication, claims, and recovery actions.




Report quality metrics to leadership (defect rates, pass/fail, supplier performance).

Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Textile/Materials/Industrial Engineering or related.
8+ years in QA/QC for bags/soft goods/apparel; 3+ years in a leadership role.
Solid knowledge of textiles, sewing processes, trims, and export quality norms.
Experienced with lab testing, audits, and quality systems (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).
Excellent communication; willing to travel to supplier sites.
