The Senior Staff Nurse – OT is responsible for providing high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operation Theatre, with a robust focus on maternity cases, especially LSCS (Lower Segment Caesarean Section). The role includes assisting surgeons, maintaining OT protocols, ensuring patient safety, and supervising junior nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Care & Safety
Prepare patients for surgical procedures, especially LSCS cases
Ensure proper identification, consent, and pre-operative checklist completion
Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
Maintain strict aseptic and infection control practices
OT Management
Prepare and maintain OT equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies
Ensure availability of surgical instruments required for LSCS and other obstetric procedures
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and pediatricians during procedures
Handle emergency obstetric cases efficiently
Surgical Assistance
Assist doctors during LSCS and other gynecological surgeries
Perform scrubbing, circulating, and assisting roles as required




Manage surgical instruments and count (before and after procedures)
Post-Operative Care
Shift patients safely to recovery room
Monitor post-operative recovery and vital signs
Assist in post-surgical documentation and handover
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate OT records, patient charts, and surgical logs
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH protocols, and legal requirements
Report any incidents or complications promptly
Team Supervision & Training
Guide and supervise junior nurses and OT technicians
Participate in training, drills, and continuous quality improvement programs

Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification: B.Sc Nursing / GNM
Registration: Valid State Nursing Council Registration
Experience:
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in OT
Mandatory experience in maternity OT with LSCS procedures

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
