Bakery Assistant – Job Description

Job Title: Bakery Assistant
Department: Bakery
Reports To: Head Baker / Bakery Manager

Job Summary:

A Bakery Assistant supports the daily operations of a bakery by helping prepare baked goods, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers. They ensure products are made fresh and presented attractively.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing ingredients for baking (measuring, mixing, etc.)
Support bakers in making bread, cakes, pastries, and other items
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Pack and label bakery products properly
Arrange and display items neatly in the shop
Assist customers with orders and provide friendly service
Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when supplies are low
Follow hygiene and food safety standards

Skills & Requirements:




Basic knowledge of baking is a plus
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions carefully
Attention to detail
Physical stamina (standing for long hours)
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays

Qualifications:
Minimum: High school (10th/12th pass)
Experience in bakery or kitchen (preferred but not mandatory)

Work Environment:
Bakery kitchen and retail shop
Quick-paced and sometimes hot environment

Job Types: Full time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
