This role involves creating detailed electrical schematics, specifying components, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders. The engineer also verifies that electrical systems are properly integrated with the crane's mechanical and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptual Design: Develop electrical design concepts for cranes, considering factors like load capacity, operating conditions, and safety regulations.
System Design: Create detailed electrical schematics, including wiring diagrams,
component layouts, and control system diagrams.
Component Selection: Choose appropriate electrical components (motors,
controllers, sensors, etc.) based on project requirements, considering performance,
cost, and availability.
Collaboration: Work with mechanical engineers, project managers,
and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other crane components.
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including parts lists, cable lists,
and installation instructions.
Testing and Verification: Ensure that electrical systems are tested and verified to meet safety standards and operational requirements.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any electrical issues that arise during crane operation or maintenance.
