DevOps Responsibilities
Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
Monitor application and infrastructure health using tools like Splunk, Datadog, etc.
Troubleshoot deployment issues, workplace failures, and production incidents.
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security best practices.
Maintain security compliance by vulnerability scanning, tracking, and driving resolution.
Release Management
Plan,
coordinate, and execute application releases across multiple environments.
Create and manage release calendars and deployment schedules.
Coordinate with development, QA, security, and business teams for release readiness.
Conduct release impact analysis and risk assessments.
Ensure all deployment prerequisites, approvals, and change management activities are completed on time.
Document and manage all rollback strategies and contingency planning for production deployment.
Prepare and maintain release documentation, deployment checklist, and SOPs.
Drive release governance and compliance processes.
Coordinate release and handle production deployment
Lead release bridge calls during production deployments and support hypercare activities post deployments.
