Design, develop, and execute test cases for REST/SOAP APIs.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools like:
Postman, SOAP UI, Swagger, REST Assured, Karate, JMeter (for API performance)
Validate REST/SOAP API responses using Assertions for payloads, status codes, headers, and schema structures.
Build and manage Postman/API collections to support automated and manual test workflows.
Valuable knowledge of JSON, XML, XPath, XSD, and schemas.
Performfunctional,



integration, regression, and performance testingof APIs.
Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate backend data.
Create and maintain API automation scriptsusing industrystandard tools.
Work closely with developers, BAs, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
Analyze Splunk logs, troubleshoot issues, and participate in defect triage discussions.
Validate API-level security, authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Ensure data consistency across databases, microservices, and backend layers.
Contribute to CI/CD integration of API automation suites.
Prepare test reports, metrics, and documentation.
Familiarity with API automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle).
Experience working withCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
