Cloud Developer Lead

- Assist development teams with assessing their applications and developing a path to the Cloud.
- Coach development teams on best practices, architecture, and design for the Cloud.
- Design, Code, and Deliver current rapid prototypes and MVPs.
- Provide technical design, leadership, and oversight to the development team to deliver new solutions using micro-services and cloud-based technologies and platforms.
- Should have strong Python coding skills.
- Participate in innovative projects within the hybrid cloud scope.
- Work closely with portfolio and other Towers/Divisions to execute and automate product roadmaps.
- Be part of a cross-functional Scrum organization allowing development into various areas of the Cloud stack including networks, virtualization, and orchestration/automation.
- Produce development artifacts through the usage of CI/CD framework.
- Act as L4 support for Cloud deployment and operations.
- Collaborate using the Atlassian toolset - Jira and Confluence.




- Participate in PoC/PoV of brand-new vendor products.
- Become part of a new organization with Dev Ops as part of its DNA.

VMware Dev Ops Engineer's qualifications and skills:

- Software developer or system/virtualization experience (10+ years).
- Deep knowledge and experience with Ansible and Python.
- Experience with VMware products (vSphere, NSX, vSAN, Aria suits products).
- Knowledge of Java, Python, or other enterprise-class software language is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile development, SCRUM concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and toolset (i.e., Jenkins, Bitbucket toolset).
- Willingness to develop in various areas of Cloud scope including virtualization, storage & backup, hardware, and networks.
- Experience in working with public clouds AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
- Storage and backup portfolio experience is a plus.
