- Operate, manage, and maintain all life-support and emergency medical equipment carried in the ambulance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of advanced life-support (ALS) equipment, including defibrillators, ventilators, suction devices, infusion pumps, oxygen-delivery systems, and airway-management equipment.
- Ensure all life-support equipment is checked, functional, adequately stocked, and ready for immediate emergency use.
- Use life-support equipment appropriately according to clinical protocols, patient condition, and scope of practice.
- Identify equipment faults and promptly report or arrange corrective action.
