Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically sound purchase manager to manage procurement activities for our robotics and industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing mechanical, electrical, electronic, automation, and fabrication components while developing strong relationships with manufacturers, OEMs, and industrial suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation components.
- Identify and negotiate with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and fabrication vendors.
- Procure robotics, PLCs, sensors, servo systems, motors, drives, conveyors, control panels, cables, and industrial hardware.
- Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalise purchase orders.
- Ensure timely procurement while maintaining quality, delivery schedules, and project timelines.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, stores, and project teams to ensure material availability.




- Monitor inventory levels and optimise procurement costs.
- Resolve supplier quality issues and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Prepare procurement reports, vendor evaluations, and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of industrial procurement and vendor management.
- Experience purchasing robotics, automation, mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- Excellent negotiation and cost optimisation skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Robust communication and coordination abilities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering, or a Related Field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement within robotics, industrial automation, manufacturing, or engineering industries.

Preferred Experience

- Candidates with experience sourcing components for industrial automation, robotics, material handling systems, machine building, PLC/SCADA projects, control panels, conveyors, and customised engineering solutions will be preferred.
