Field Service Engineer – Medical Equipment

## About the Role

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused *Field Service Engineer – Medical Equipment* to handle installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown service, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and servicing of medical equipment at hospitals and healthcare facilities.

## Key Responsibilities

* Install, commission, test, and provide basic user training for medical equipment.

* Perform *preventive maintenance, inspection, functional checks, and servicing*.

* Attend breakdown calls and perform *fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and component replacement*.

* Perform *calibration, performance verification, alarm, and safety checks* as applicable.

* Service equipment such as *patient monitors, ventilators, OT equipment, sterilizers/autoclaves, pumps, surgical equipment, and diagnostic devices*.

* Provide on-site technical support and maintain good customer relationships.

* Prepare *service, PM, installation, calibration, and breakdown reports*.

* Identify required spare parts and maintain service records.

* Follow *manufacturer guidelines, electrical safety, infection-control, and hospital safety procedures*.

## Required Technical Skills

* Knowledge of *electrical and electronic circuits, AC/DC systems, power supplies, wiring,



relays, switches, and grounding/earthing*.

* Understanding of *PCBs, sensors, displays, batteries, motors, pumps, valves, heaters, compressors, and electromechanical systems*.

* Ability to troubleshoot *electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical faults* using service manuals and circuit/wiring diagrams.

* Practical knowledge of *digital multimeter and basic test instruments*.

* Knowledge of *preventive/corrective maintenance, calibration, performance testing, and equipment safety checks*.

* Ability to understand technical specifications and maintain service documentation.

* Knowledge of *medical/biomedical equipment servicing* is preferred.

## Qualification

* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in *Biomedical, Electronics, Electrical, ECE*, or related technical field.

## Skills & Requirements

* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

* Good communication and customer-handling skills.

* Ability to work independently and in a team.

* Willingness to *travel locally and outstation* to customer/hospital locations.

* Good documentation and reporting skills.

* Willingness to learn recent medical equipment and technologies
