Job Summary

- Duties & Responsibilities – Maintenance
- Carry out regular inspection and maintenance of hotel equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Attend to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, civil, and general maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance complaints and breakdowns reported by different departments.
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment to minimize breakdowns and operational disruptions.
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems, lighting, switches, sockets, and distribution boards.
- Check and maintain air-conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and other HVAC systems.
- Attend to plumbing issues such as leakage, drainage, water supply, and sanitary fittings.
- Ensure proper functioning of generators, pumps, boilers, lifts, and other essential equipment.
- Maintain swimming pool equipment and other recreational facility systems, where applicable.




- Maintain proper records of maintenance work, breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts used.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repair and maintenance work.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Follow all hotel safety standards and ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely.
- Conduct regular rounds of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and service areas to identify defects.
- Attend to guest-related maintenance requests professionally and with minimum inconvenience.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety, and other statutory safety requirements.
- Reduce unnecessary consumption of electricity, water, fuel, and other utilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the engineering/maintenance workshop.
- Report major equipment failures, safety hazards, and repair requirements to the Maintenance Manager/Chief Engineer.
- Support other departments during emergencies and operational requirements.
- Maintain proper coordination with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B;, Security, and other departments.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed within the required time and quality standards.
