About the Role

Semicolon Solution is looking for a Senior / Lead Software Engineer – Android who can combine strong hands-on Android development with effective team leadership.

You will be responsible for leading the Android team, contributing directly to development, maintaining code quality, solving technical challenges, and working closely with the CEO on technical priorities and execution.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, take ownership, guide the team, and get things done without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and guide the Android development team.
- Remain hands-on with Kotlin/Java development and critical technical tasks.
- Take end-to-end ownership of Android applications and core modules.
- Review code and maintain high standards for quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Design and improve scalable Android architecture.
- Debug and resolve complex technical and production issues.
- Pair-program with junior and mid-level developers and improve their debugging and coding practices.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Identify technical blockers and resolve them independently.
- Maintain clear documentation for important modules and technical decisions.
- Work directly with the CEO on technical priorities, challenges, and execution.
- Coordinate with Backend, QA, UI/UX, and other teams when required.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of Android development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience with REST APIs, Firebase, databases, and third-party integrations.




- Strong understanding of Git and modern development practices.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with production-level Android applications.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide developers.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
