Job Summary

Prima Automation (India) Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled Fabrication Design Engineer to design and develop sheet metal components, fabricated structures, and electrical control panel enclosures. The candidate will be responsible for preparing manufacturing drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and coordinating with production to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing, quality, and cost. The role requires hands-on knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes such as laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

· Design sheet metal parts, fabricated structures, electrical panel enclosures, brackets, and support frames.

· Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

· Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing documentation.

· Generate flat patterns, DXF files, and nesting data for laser cutting and CNC punching.

· Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.

· Ensure designs comply with manufacturing standards and customer specifications.





· Coordinate with production, quality, purchase, and project teams for smooth execution.

· Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation.

· Review customer drawings and suggest design improvements for manufacturability and cost optimization.

· Ensure proper revision control and documentation management.

· Support prototype development, testing, and design modifications.

· Participate in continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.

Required Skills

· Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design.

· Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

· Knowledge of:

o Laser Cutting

o CNC Bending

o Welding Processes

o Fabrication Techniques

o GD&T; and Engineering Tolerances

o Flat Pattern Development

o BOM Preparation

· Understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication standards.

· Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualification

· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

Experience :

4 to 6 yrs.

Salary :

40,000 to 45,000 CTC

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
