About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance / EPR Manager to manage regulatory compliance, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) activities, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination for our e-waste recycling business.
The role will be responsible for ensuring that the company's operations and EPR-related activities remain compliant with applicable environmental regulations and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with e-waste regulations, EPR frameworks, CPCB/SPCB requirements, regulatory portals, audits, and compliance documentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesEPR Management
- Manage end-to-end EPR compliance and implementation for e-waste recycling programs.
- Coordinate with Producers, Importers, Brand Owners (PIBOs), recyclers, collection partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support clients in meeting their EPR obligations and annual recycling targets.
- Manage EPR registrations, renewals, amendments, and related regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate the generation, allocation, reconciliation, and documentation of EPR certificates/credits as applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of e-waste collection, transportation, processing, recycling, and disposal.
- Monitor EPR targets and ensure timely achievement and reporting.
- Prepare periodic EPR reports and supporting documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable E-Waste Management Rules, environmental regulations, and CPCB/SPCB requirements.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation, EPR regulations, notifications, guidelines, and regulatory procedures.
- Ensure all required registrations, authorizations, consents, licenses, and renewals are maintained.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities, including CPCB, SPCBs/PCCs, and other relevant government bodies.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance calendar and ensure timely submission of returns and reports.
- Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation & Audit
- Maintain complete and accurate compliance records, registers, certificates, agreements, invoices, manifests, and transaction documentation.
- Prepare the organization for regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.
- Coordinate internal compliance audits and close identified gaps.
- Verify documentation from recyclers, collection partners, transporters, and other vendors.
- Establish appropriate systems for material traceability and EPR documentation.
- Prepare management reports on compliance status, risks, and pending actions.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Business Development, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Logistics, and Recycling teams to ensure compliance across the complete e-waste value chain.
- Review commercial and operational arrangements from a regulatory and compliance perspective.
- Support the sales/business development team with EPR-related proposals,
documentation, and customer queries.
- Train internal teams and operational partners on relevant compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for regulatory and EPR processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Law, Sustainability, Compliance, or a related field.
- Master's degree/MBA in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field is preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in environmental compliance, EPR, e-waste, waste management, recycling, or regulatory affairs.
- Hands-on experience with CPCB/SPCB compliance and EPR-related processes is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with recyclers, Producers, Importers, Brand Owners, or other stakeholders in the e-waste ecosystem.
- Robust knowledge of regulatory documentation, reporting, audits, and compliance management.
