Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Science Teacher to teach students from Grades 6 to 8. The candidate should be able to make Social Science concepts engaging and encourage students to understand history, geography, civics, economics, and current affairs.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for Grades 6–8.
- Follow the school curriculum and complete the syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Teach History, Geography, Civics, and Economics as per the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Use maps, charts, digital resources, presentations, and activity-based teaching methods.
- Assess students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain students’ academic records and notebooks.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of society and current affairs.
- Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.




- Communicate students’ progress with parents and coordinate with the academic team.
- Participate in examinations, PTMs, school events, training programs, and other academic activities.

Qualifications

- B.A / M.A in Social Science, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed is preferred/required as per school requirements.
- Strong subject knowledge in Social Science.
- Good English communication and presentation skills.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of CBSE curriculum is preferred.
- Experience teaching Grades 6–8 in a school environment is preferred.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
