Job Summary

We are looking for a Restaurant Captain to supervise daily café operations, ensure excellent customer service, coordinate with the service team, and maintain smooth and efficient front-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the service staff during daily café operations.
- Welcome guests and ensure a warm and professional customer experience.
- Take customer orders accurately and ensure timely service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar team to ensure orders are prepared and served correctly.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Allocate tables and manage customer seating during busy hours.
- Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
- Train and guide junior service staff on customer service and café procedures.
- Coordinate with the Café Manager regarding daily operations and staff requirements.
- Monitor stock of service items such as cutlery, crockery, glasses, napkins, and other essentials.
- Assist in billing and POS operations when required.




- Ensure compliance with café hygiene, safety, and service standards.
- Support the team during peak hours and special events.
- Prepare or assist with daily operational reports as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain, Senior Steward, Team Leader, or similar role in a café/restaurant.
- Good knowledge of restaurant/café service operations.
- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Good knowledge of POS and billing systems.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and service standards.
- Pleasant personality with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and during peak business hours.
- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced café environment.
