We are looking for a Legal Officer to manage legal, contractual, and compliance matters for the organization. This role requires strong contract management and corporate legal expertise, with the ability to work closely with business, sales, and leadership teams on day-to-day legal needs.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, vet, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts — client agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, partnership/reseller agreements, and MSAs/SLAs
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and contract repository management
- Advise internal teams (sales, finance, HR, product) on legal risk, contractual obligations, and commercial terms
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, and data protection/privacy laws relevant to SaaS/EdTech operations
- Handle corporate legal matters in coordination with company secretary/ROC functions as needed
- Manage disputes, legal notices, and litigation matters, including coordination with external counsel
- Support data privacy and information security compliance (e.g., contracts involving student/institutional data)
- Draft and review internal policies,



employment-related agreements, and vendor SOWs
- Track regulatory changes relevant to SaaS/EdTech and flag business impact
- Maintain documentation and ensure audit-readiness for legal and contractual records

Qualifications

- LLB (mandatory); LLM preferred but not required
- 5–10 years of relevant legal experience
- Must be currently working in a legal role at another company — this is non-negotiable
- Strong experience in contract drafting, vetting, and negotiation
- Experience handling corporate/commercial legal matters
- Exposure to SaaS, technology, or services company legal work (Good to Have)
- Familiarity with data privacy/protection regulations (Good to Have)
