Job Description – SAP IS-U ABAP Consultant

Position: SAP IS-U ABAP Consultant

Experience: 2–5 Years

Location: Kolkata

Job Summary

We are looking for an SAP IS-U ABAP Consultant with 2–5 years of relevant experience. The candidate should have strong ABAP development skills along with good exposure to SAP IS-U technical objects and utilities-specific processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ABAP programs for SAP IS-U applications.

Work on reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, conversions, and workflows.

Develop and troubleshoot RICEF objects.

Work on user exits, BAdIs, enhancement spots, and custom developments.

Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP IS-U and external systems.

Analyze technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.

Perform debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs.

Support testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.





Prepare technical specifications and development documentation.

Coordinate with functional consultants for requirements and solutions.

Required Skills

2–5 years of experience in SAP ABAP with relevant SAP IS-U exposure.

Robust knowledge of ABAP programming and debugging.

Experience with Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.

Knowledge of BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and Function Modules.

Good understanding of SAP IS-U technical objects and processes.

Exposure to integration technologies such as RFC, IDoc, BAPI, and Web Services.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

Experience in the utilities/energy domain.

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, CDS Views, OData, and AMDP is an advantage.
