Hybrid Flex Pune, IND Full time R260700609 **Head - Cyber Security - IN** The Head - Cyber Security (IN) establishes strategic direction for TIAA GC GCFM team and ensures delivery of cyber security capabilities and services, including policy and governance, platform enablement, operational execution, and continuous improvement. The role is accountable for building centralized and scalable support for cyber platforms, driving consistency and efficiency, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the enterprise to align cyber security outcomes with corporate objectives. This role is also responsible to take care of Cyber Security needs for TIAA GC entity. **Organizational Scope** This role leads a large, multi-disciplinary cyber security organization in India encompassing the following functional areas: **Security Operations & Intelligence** - Security Operations Center (SOC), AI for Cyber and Cyber for AI, and ML SecOps, delivering 24x7 threat detection, response, and intelligence-driven security operations. **Engineering & Architecture** - Security Engineering, Security Architecture, Secrets Management, and Custom Application Development, responsible for designing and building the security technology foundation of the enterprise. **Identity & Access** - Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM), ensuring least-privilege, zero-trust access principles are embedded across the enterprise. **Platform & Cloud Security** - Platform Security Operations (PlatSecOps), Cloud Security, and Network & Endpoint Security, protecting TIAA's hybrid infrastructure and cloud-native environments. **Secure Development** - DevSecOps and Application Security, integrating security natively across the software development lifecycle and enabling product teams to build securely by default. **Risk, Compliance & Third-Party Security** - Third Party Risk Assessment, driving accountability for vendor and partner security posture and supporting audit and regulatory compliance obligations. **Key Responsibilities** **Technology Leadership and Cyber Platforms** Provides technology-informed leadership to guide architecture, platform strategy, and security capability evolution. Ensures cyber platforms and tooling are scalable, standardized where appropriate, and fit for purpose. Translating complex business needs into measurable deliverables helping teams make informed trade-offs across risk, cost, time-to-deliver, and usability. Maintains awareness of the external threat landscape and evolving security practices to continuously improve controls and resiliency. Drives simplification and modernization to improve operational efficiency and measurable risk reduction. **Operational Execution and Delivery Leadership** Ensures delivery of operational plans by providing direction to multiple teams of directors/senior managers and managers. Establishes clear execution rhythm, performance metrics, and governance mechanisms to ensure outcomes are delivered reliably. Drives consistency and process excellence across cyber service delivery. **Budget, Prioritization, and Resource Management** Establishes and manages the budget for GCFM India team, monitors cost and effectiveness, and prioritizes spending and resource allocation based on risk reduction, business value, and operational resiliency. Ensuring talent and capacity planning supports both strategic initiatives and run-the-business needs. **People Leadership:

Aligns regional execution with enterprise standards while respecting local **Educational Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree or MBA preferred. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCISO are valued. **Work Experience** + 20 or more years of progressive experience in cyber security, with at least 8 to 10 years in a senior leadership role managing large, multi-disciplinary security teams. Prior experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry is strongly preferred. **Regulatory & Compliance Fluency** + Deep familiarity with regulatory requirements (NYDFS, GDPR, DPDP Act) and global cyber security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, PCI DSS). **Physical Requirements** + Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work **Career Level** 12PL The Head - Cyber Security (IN) establishes strategic direction for TIAA GC GCFM team and ensures delivery of cyber security capabilities and services, including policy and governance, platform enablement, operational execution, and continuous improvement.
