Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in SQL, data analysis, data modeling, and GitHub Copilot. The candidate will be responsible for developing interactive dashboards, optimizing SQL queries, building productive data models, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.

- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

- Develop optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data extraction logic.

- Create efficient Power BI data models using star/snowflake schema concepts.

- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.

- Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query/M.

- Connect Power BI with SQL Server and other data sources.

- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI workspace/security best practices.

- Optimize report performance, data models, DAX, and SQL queries.

- Publish, schedule, and manage reports through Power BI Service.

- Use GitHub/Git for source control, version management, and collaboration.

- Leverage GitHub Copilot for SQL, DAX, Power Query, scripting, documentation, and development productivity.

- Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure accuracy, security, performance, and maintainability.





- Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.

- Good understanding of DAX and Power Query.

- Experience in data modeling, ETL concepts, and BI reporting.

- Experience with Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, refresh schedules, and security.

- Knowledge of Git/GitHub and source-control practices.

- Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.

- Knowledge of SSIS or other ETL tools.

- Experience with CI/CD for Power BI and data solutions.

- Familiarity with Python is an advantage.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.

- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise BI environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
