Own plant and vendor quality to ensure products meet statutory and business standards, reduce COPQ/Defect rate, strengthen supplier capability, ensure regulatory compliance (BIS/BEE), and deliver timely MIS, audits and customer complaint closure.

Role & responsibilities:

- Strategy & leadership: Define and deploy quality strategy; build quality culture (Quality Circles/QC stories); own vendor quality governance and vendor Quality Manual revisions. Lead teams of plant and vendor quality.
- Plant quality: Monitor process control, validate process parameters, run plant product audits, support NPD quality and NPD on-time launch, monitor and ensure Plant quality parameters as per target (IQC/PQC/PDI)
- Vendor quality & development: Plan/execute vendor Qualification audits, process audits, Plan/execute improvement initiatives at Vendors, conduct strategic vendor reviews.
- Supplier performance: Plan/execute supplier Qualification audits, Drive initiatives to improve supplier performance.
- Continuous improvement: Identify and lead COPQ/Defect reduction projects. Drive quality transformation projects.
- Customer complaints & Defective inspection: Manage complaint lifecycle RCA, CAPA within stipulated timeline; Oversee Market defective inspection of South region, coordinate with Vendors for defective materials settlement
- Data analysis:



Deep dive in data, identify gaps and come up with improvement areas and action plans/projects. Drive them using Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing methodology.
- Audits & compliance: Ensure 100% compliance to BIS/BEE; face external audits and ensure Zero NCs; Plan/execute internal audits.
- MIS & reporting: Deliver timely data-driven quality MIS/TQM reports; maintain documentation for process changes and corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile:

- B. Tech / B.E. (Electrical/Electronics) / MBA
- 1015+ years experience in quality control & assurance (15+ preferred), with solid plant & vendor/supplier quality background (Lighting/consumer electronics preferred).
- Knowledge/experience of Solar, wires/cables products advantageous
- ISO 9001/14001/45001 lead auditor desirable; Six Sigma advantageous.
- Strong in APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D/RCA, Kaizen; Excel/Power BI proficiency;
- Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.
