Job Description: Senior Associate, EMEA External Communications Position Overview The Senior Associate, EMEA External Communications is an important contributor to the communications team, supporting the planning and delivery of external communication activities across EMEA. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this role helps to build the organisation’s reputation, support brand awareness, and engage with external audiences such as media, influencers, and stakeholders. The position is well-suited to someone with 3-5 years’ experience in communications who is eager to further develop their skills in an international environment. The Senior Associate will report directly to the Senior Director, EMEA & APJ Communications. This role is based in India and offers the opportunity to support communications activities across EMEA. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive external communication strategies that are tailored to the cultural and market needs of individual EMEA countries, working closely with senior team members. Support the management of external communications enquiries, issues, and projects across the region, acting as a key contact in collaboration with the wider communications team. Help draft, edit, and localise press releases, media materials, speeches, and executive communications, ensuring consistency with global messaging and adapting to regional nuances under guidance from senior staff. Provide support to the Manager of Communications during crisis communications, media relations, proactive storytelling, and reputation management activities targeting external audiences. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, influencers, and external stakeholders in each market, supporting efforts to secure impactful coverage and foster positive sentiment. Monitor regional media, social channels, and public conversations to help identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends, and report findings to the communications team. Coordinate logistics and provide support for communications activities related to events, campaigns, and corporate initiatives in the region, working collaboratively with internal teams such as marketing, HR, and executive leadership. Contribute to measuring and reporting on communications effectiveness using analytics, KPIs, and collected feedback, supporting the continuous improvement of strategies. Assist with managing communications budgets and liaising with external agencies as required by the team.



Help ensure all communications align with brand guidelines, compliance standards, and local regulations by supporting review and approval processes. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant communications experience, preferably in a multinational or regional context. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in one or more EMEA languages is an asset. Strong cross-cultural awareness and the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a quick-paced environment. Experience with crisis communications, media relations, and digital/social media strategy. Proven ability to build relationships with media, stakeholders, and internal partners. Analytical mindset, with experience measuring and reporting on communications outcomes. High attention to detail, initiative, and a collaborative spirit.
