ROLE PURPOSE & CONTEXT

The Content Development & Generative AI Expert is a specialized role focused on the intersection of instructional design, creative technology, and artificial intelligence. This position unifies traditional digital learning development with cutting-edge GenAI workflows to produce high-quality learning content experiences at scale. The ideal candidate is an expert in the Articulate 360 suite who also champions the use of tools like Synthesia and LLMs to revolutionize how learning is built and delivered. They understand that while AI provides speed, the "human in the loop" ensures the pedagogical integrity, inclusivity, and brand alignment that drive measurable behaviour change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADVANCED LEARNING CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

- Design and build immersive eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, ensuring all content is mobile-responsive and meets accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Engineer high-quality video and audio assets using Synthesia for AI avatars and Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro for professional-grade video editing and polish.
- Utilize LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude) for rapid storyboarding, script drafting, and content chunking while maintaining unique voice and tone.
- Apply advanced instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) to translate complex subject matter into engaging, scenario-based digital learning experiences.
- Develop and maintain a component library of reusable assets, templates, and AI prompts to drive efficiency and brand consistency across all programs.

PRODUCTION WORKFLOW & QA PROCESSES

Standardized Production Management

- Manage the end-to-end content lifecycle through a structured production workflow, from intake and storyboarding to development, review, and deployment.
- Implement rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) protocols,



including technical functional testing, content accuracy checks, and cross-browser/LMS compatibility validation.
- Coordinate Alpha, Beta, and Gold review cycles with SMEs and stakeholders, utilizing tools like Articulate Review 360 to manage feedback and version control.
- Ensure all output adheres to the Client's Content Standard and Brand Identity guidelines, maintaining zero-defect delivery for high-visibility programs.

LMS Deployment & AI Governance

- Partner with LMS administrators to ensure seamless package (SCORM/xAPI) integration and data tracking for all digital content.
- Maintain AI ethical standards, ensuring all generative content is vetted for bias, accuracy, and compliance with Responsible AI Principles.

MEASUREMENT & CONTENT PERFORMANCE

- Analyze content performance data (L1-L2) to identify areas for iterative updates and maintenance cycles.
- Monitor AI efficiency gains, tracking time-to-market and production cost reductions achieved through automated workflows.
- Regularly audit the content library to ensure relevance, surfacing insights on when content should be retired or refreshed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field - or equivalent qualified experience demonstrating the same capabilities.
- Content Development:



3 5 years building expert-level eLearning in Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise). High proficiency in graphic design, interactive triggers, and variables.
- GenAI Expertise: Proven experience using Synthesia for video production and LLMs (ChatGPT/Claude) for instructional design workflows and content generation.
- Video & Multimedia: Skilled in video editing (Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, or Camtasia) and audio editing to produce high-fidelity assets.
- QA & Technical: Expertise in SCORM/xAPI standards, LMS deployment, and cross-device testing to ensure flawless learner experiences.
- Communication Skills: Clear, professional written and verbal communication - able to facilitate a session, write crisp participant-facing messages, and produce concise stakeholder updates.
- Data & Reporting: Comfort with data tracking and reporting; able to compile and present clean, accurate metrics without errors.

Preferred

- Certifications: Articulate Certified Developer, AI for Instructional Design certifications, or CPTD.
- Advanced Media: Experience with motion graphics (After Effects) or custom illustrations for learning content.
- Instructional Design Exposure: Familiarity with adult learning principles (Knowles' Andragogy), ADDIE or SAM instructional design models, and blended learning methodology.
- Quality & Assessment: Experience applying Kirkpatrick Levels 1 4 evaluation framework. Background in QA, performance management, or learning effectiveness measurement.
- Coaching Background: Demonstrated ability to coach struggling or resistant learners constructively, with specific techniques for de-escalating defensive responses to feedback.

Project Coordination Tools: Experience with Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or equivalent program tracking tools.
