How You’ll Contribute

The Lead AI Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for leading the quality assurance strategy, validation activities, and governance practices for AI-enabled products, platforms, and operational processes. This role partners closely with Engineering, Data Science, Product Management, Cybersecurity, Legal, Risk, and business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are accurate, reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business and client expectations. The position combines advanced quality engineering expertise with AI/ML validation practices and serves as a technical leader for scalable and trustworthy AI adoption.

- Provide analytical, technical, and project leadership support for the delivery, adoption, and stabilization of AI-enabled products, platforms, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead portions of AI quality assurance initiatives with moderate complexity and organizational impact.
- Facilitate quality reviews, stakeholder workshops, model validation discussions, and testing strategy sessions.
- Assess current-state and future-state AI testing processes and recommend improvements to testing effectiveness, efficiency, and governance.
- Partner with business, operations, product, engineering, and data science teams to align AI quality objectives with business outcomes.
- Develop AI quality roadmaps, testing frameworks, operational models, and support process documentation.
- Identify operational, technical, compliance, and model-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Lead validation activities for AI models,



data pipelines, automation workflows, user-facing AI capabilities, vendors, tools, and third-party technologies.
- Evaluate quality, reliability, security, governance, and compliance considerations associated with AI products and services.
- Utilize quality metrics, test analytics, and operational performance data to measure AI solution effectiveness and drive continuous improvement of testing methodologies, monitoring standards, automation capabilities, and governance practices.

What You’ll Need to Bring

This Lead role requires Skilled proficiency in AI Quality Assurance job-family competencies, along with relevant experience in quality engineering and AI/ML validation.

- Relevant years of Quality Engineering, Software Testing, SDET, or Quality Assurance experience.
- Ability to evaluate complex problems, identify root causes, assess alternatives, and implement practical, scalable, data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships across business, technology, product, engineering, data science, and risk organizations.
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques, operational workflows, dependency management, quality optimization, and governance practices.
- Ability to communicate technical and non-technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including leadership stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives, managing dependencies, tracking progress, and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning fundamentals, AI system capabilities, limitations, risks, and practical applications, with experience validating AI/ML models, Generative AI applications, LLM-enabled systems, or data science solutions.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, API testing, model evaluation, prompt testing, hallucination testing, data quality validation, AI governance controls, and regulatory, security, privacy, or responsible AI requirements.

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI, multi-agent workflows, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and knowledge-grounding architectures.
- Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps practices, model deployment pipelines, AI observability, production monitoring, experimentation frameworks, and cloud AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Vertex AI.
- Experience using Python, SQL, notebooks, data analysis, synthetic data generation,



evaluation datasets, and advanced reporting techniques to support AI quality insights and decision-making.
