nAbout the Role
nThe Primary Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of High Voltage (HV) Substation Primary Engineering deliverables across transmission and distribution projects. The role involves preparation, review, and coordination of primary design documentation, ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry standards, project requirements, and quality procedures. The position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and technically robust engineering solutions.

nRoles & Responsibilities




nPrimary HV Plant Design (AIS & GIS)
n
- n
- Prepare and develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for HV substations (Voltage level 132kV, 275kV or 400kV).n
- Design and review substation configurations and schemes including, Feeder Bays, Transformer Bays, Busbar Arrangements, Mesh Corner Schemes, Shunt Reactor Baysn
- Prepare Overall Equipment Layouts and Elevations for AIS substations.n
- Develop Maintenance Access Layouts ensuring safe operation and maintainability.n
- Prepare Cable Trench Layouts in coordination with civil and secondary design teams.n
- Perform Lightning Protection System calculations and prepare associated layouts.n
- Carry out Earthing System calculations and develop Earthing Layout drawings.n
- Prepare Typical Equipment Earthing details and installation drawings.n
- Perform Short Circuit Force Calculations for rigid and flexible busbars.n
