Job Title: Safety Officer

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Reports To: Project Manager

Location: Naika, Kheda

Job Summary
The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe workplace. The role involves conducting inspections, risk assessments, safety training, incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management
Implement and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with local occupational health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Risk Assessment & Control
Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Develop and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
Review work permits and ensure safe work practices are followed.

Training & Awareness




Conduct safety induction programs for recent employees and contractors.
Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
Provide training on emergency response procedures and safe work practices.
Incident Investigation
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.
Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
Track corrective and preventive actions until closure.
Emergency Preparedness
Assist in developing emergency response plans.
Coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises.
Ensure emergency equipment is available and maintained.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training records.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
Monitor safety performance indicators and submit reports to management.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certification prefe
