Backend-Focused Full-Stack Mobile Developer Internship

We are looking for a Backend-Focused Full-Stack Mobile Developer internship to help build and take ownership of a production-ready mobile application.
What you'll work on

* Design and develop scalable backend architecture and APIs.
* Work with Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL/Supabase.
* Set up and manage Supabase Authentication, Database, Storage and Realtime.
* Design database schemas, relationships, indexes and secure data access.
* Implement authentication, authorization, business logic and API integrations.
* Connect backend services with a React Native + Expo mobile application.
* Ensure application features work end-to-end with real data.
* Handle file uploads, notifications, realtime functionality and other backend services where required.
* Test APIs and complete application flows, identify bugs and fix them.
* Debug frontend-backend integration issues.
* Perform basic performance and scalability checks and identify potential bottlenecks.
* Ensure the application works reliably across Android and iOS.




* Follow good practices for security, error handling, environment management and deployment.
* Use Git/GitHub for development and collaboration.
What we're looking for

* Positive understanding of backend development and APIs.
* Practical experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
* Good understanding of PostgreSQL and database design.
* Hands-on knowledge of Supabase or willingness to work with it.
* Basic-to-good understanding of React Native / Expo and how mobile apps communicate with backend systems.
* Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security and data validation.
* Ability to test, debug and troubleshoot backend and mobile integration issues.
* Basic understanding of mobile performance, networking and device limitations.
* Ability to think about scalability, reliability and production readiness, not just getting features to work.
* Comfortable taking ownership of backend-related implem
