Role Description The Fresh 4th Engineer role at MarineIQ Shipping Solutions is a project based. The 4th Engineer will be going onboard client ships for inventory management and spare tracking/reconciliation.
The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to report technical issues, contribute to safety and efficiency improvements, and ensure compliance with relevant maritime standards and procedures.



The position is designed for early-career marine engineers who are eager to learn, work closely with experienced professionals.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of marine engineering principles, shipboard machinery, and engine room operations.
Ability to work independently, identify spares and refer to OEM Manuals
Comfort with digital tools and software used for equipment tracking.
Solid attention to safety procedures, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards in maritime settings.
Effective communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a proactive approach to learning from senior engineers.
Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering or a related field; completion of required maritime certifications and training as applicable.
Willingness to work on short projects onboard.
Prior internship, cadetship, and onboard training experience is required
