We are looking for a dynamic and news-savvy Cluster Lead – social media to lead social media strategy, audience growth, and real-time news engagement our English and Business news platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong editorial judgment, deep understanding of platform algorithms, and experience managing high-performing social media teams in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
This role requires someone who can combine journalism, analytics, creativity, and platform expertise to maximise reach, engagement and market leadership. The candidate will work closely with editorial, video, and audience teams to drive platform growth, engagement, and content performance across key social media channels.

Responsibility:
Develop and execute platform-specific growth strategies for Meta, LinkedIn, X, and Snapchat.
Oversee real-time publishing and distribution of breaking news and special events.
Build audience engagement strategies aligned with editorial priorities and breaking news cycles.
Drive follower growth, engagement, watch time, and referral traffic.
Track KPIs including reach,



engagement, video views, retention, and conversions.
Analyze audience behavior and platform trends to optimise content strategy.
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
Use analytics tools to derive actionable insights and recommendations.

Skills:
Creative thinker with a strong understanding of platform-native storytelling, viral content formats, audience engagement, and visual communication across social media platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field.
8-10+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in a newsroom or digital media company.
Expertise social media platforms, audience analytics, and publishing tools.
Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 news workplace.
Familiarity with video-first and mobile-first content strategies.
