Lead I - Software Engineering (POD Lead) Position Summary UST is seeking an experienced Lead I - Software Engineering (POD Lead) to lead a high-performing engineering pod and deliver innovative, scalable, and enterprise-grade digital solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical capabilities, leadership skills, and an AI-first mindset to drive engineering excellence, accelerate software delivery, and continuously improve team productivity through contemporary development practices and AI-powered tools. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development expertise. Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or similar leadership role. Proven experience managing and mentoring small engineering teams, squads, or pods. Strong experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade applications.



Demonstrated success in adopting and integrating AI technologies within software delivery and engineering processes. Passion for championing AI-first development practices and fostering a culture of innovation. Hands-on expertise across frontend technologies, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, software engineering best practices, and up-to-date SDLC processes. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage an engineering pod, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality features, products, and customer solutions. Drive the adoption of AI-first engineering practices by leveraging GenAI, coding assistants, autonomous testing, AI-enabled SDLC tools, and agentic workflows to enhance productivity and quality.
