Role Description The Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Service Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Volvo vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality requirements. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records,



communicating findings and recommendations to service advisors, and supporting a clean, organized workshop. The Service Technician collaborates with colleagues to meet service timelines, enhance customer satisfaction, and uphold Volvo’s brand values.
Qualifications
Strong technical skills in vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and electrical systems maintenance.
Ability to use automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and service software effectively and safely.
Knowledge of vehicle safety standards, quality procedures, and preventive maintenance practices.
Effective communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to team members and service advisors.
Ability to follow structured workflows, service manuals, and manufacturer guidelines with attention to detail.
Relevant vocational diploma or certification in automobile engineering or automotive technology.
