SKEP – Sri Kumar Engineering Products, Coimbatore, is looking for a QC Inspector / Quality Engineer to join our growing CNC machining team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform First Article, In-Process and Final Inspection of CNC machined components.
Inspect components as per engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and customer requirements.
Operate Trimos 2D Height Gauge for precision dimensional measurement.
Use vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, dial indicators and other inspection instruments.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
Support setters during first-piece validation and process approval.
Identify dimensional deviations, rejection and rework requirements.
Coordinate with Production and Setters for corrective actions.
Maintain calibration and inspection records.
Ensure proper traceability of inspection results for development and production jobs.
Support implementation of 5S, quality procedures and ISO/QMS practices.
Preferred Skills




Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
1–3 years of experience in CNC machining quality inspection preferred.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
Experience with Trimos 2D / height measuring system is preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T; will be an advantage.
Ability to work closely with CNC setters and production teams.
Positive documentation and communication skills.
