JOB DESCRIPTION – MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Location: Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Head

Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of plant machinery and utilities through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility-related equipment issues.
* Monitor equipment performance and minimize breakdowns and production downtime.
* Maintain equipment history, maintenance schedules, checklists, and breakdown reports.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor critical spare parts and coordinate with Stores/Procurement for timely availability.
* Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and servicing activities.




* Ensure compliance with EHS procedures, LOTO, work permits, and PPE requirements.
* Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of plant equipment.
* Track maintenance KPIs including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, and downtime.
* Coordinate with Production, EHS, Stores, and other departments for smooth plant operations.
* Lead and guide maintenance technicians/helpers as required.

Qualification & Skills

* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
* 3+ years of relevant experience in plant/industrial maintenance.
* Strong troubleshooting and maintenance planning skills.
* Knowledge of industrial safety and LOTO procedures.
* Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, battery, recycling, or similar industries will be preferred.
* Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
