As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief technology office team, you will lead the design and development of modern, scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Oracle/MySQL databases, along with full-stack UI technologies. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help shape technical direction and ensure high-quality delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of backend services and full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and contemporary UI technologies
Build and maintain microservices with strong API design, resiliency patterns, performance, and operational readiness
Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate securely with upstream and downstream systems
Design, implement,



and optimize data access patterns for Oracle and/or MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and transactions
Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices
