About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and autonomous Animator to join our dynamic team working on a VR game built in Unity for standalone headsets. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing characters and weapons to life through high-quality hand-keyed animations. You will handle the entire asset pipeline—from rigging and skinning in Blender to exporting FBX files and integrating animations into Unity. Your expertise will ensure that all animations meet performance constraints while maintaining visual fidelity,



contributing directly to the immersive experience of our game. The ideal candidate will work independently, taking ownership of their assets from concept to in-game implementation, and collaborate closely with the design, development, and art teams to achieve a cohesive game feel.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating extensive experience in character and weapon animation, rigging, and skinning. You should have a solid understanding of Unity's Animator system, including state machines, transitions, blend trees, and avatar setup. Proficiency in Blender for rigging and skinning, along with a proven ability to produce clean, reusable animation assets, is essential. You must be comfortable working autonomously, making technical decisions, and troubleshooting import/export issues.
