Role Definition:
Roles at this level are Technical subject matter experts. They work individually in solving complex technical issues and act as guide / mentors to others in their field of expertise.
At this role - their technical expertise is critical in maintaining the competitiveness of the company.
Most of the times, there are few replacements in the organisation.
Key Responsibility:
Technical Knowledge:
•Worked in a group of fire protection engineers to ensure that all fire protection engineering tasks are performed within scheduled time, budget and quality for small, medium and large size projects
•Good in-depth knowledge on following Noise Control and Fire Protection Engineering activities:
o Well conversant with Codes and Standards (NFPA, API, OISD, etc.)
o Noise control engineering, Noise concept, Acoustic & Flow Induced Vibration, Noise Mapping, Vendor Noise Datasheets, Noise Hood / Enclosure design considerations, Noise specifications, Noise survey
o Fire water demand calculation, Fire water layout / P&IDs;, FW Hydraulic calculations,



3D model review for fire water system (incl. deluge systems), Preparation of Fire-fighting Equipment specifications / layout, Vendor Document Review
o Building Protection / Safety related activities
o Area Classification list and layouts
o Preparation of fire hazardous area plan (Passive fire protection list and extent) and fire-fighting equipment plot plan
o Design fire and gas detection system, allocation and layout preparation
o Technical support to multiple projects / proposals
o Well conversant with software tools CadnaA, Soundplan, Pipenet, etc.
Subject matter expertise
- Develop new concepts and execution plans to provide technologically advanced and cost effective solutions specific to the subject
- Develop current procedures, standards, work instructions to be used across entities
