Product Manager – Seeds

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify farmer/customer needs, market trends, competitor offerings and new product opportunities.

Manage the complete product lifecycle from ideation, development and launch to performance monitoring and phase-out.

Work closely with R&D;, Sales, Marketing, Field/Extension and Supply Chain teams for product development and execution.

Develop pricing, positioning and product strategies to improve market share and profitability.

-
Support Sales through product training, promotional campaigns, technical communication and product demonstrations.

Monitor sales, market share, customer feedback, product adoption and profitability.

Prepare product performance reports and recommend improvements to senior management.

Manage product budgets and resources for development, marketing and distribution.

Candidate Requirements

B.Sc. Agriculture / MABM; MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Agribusiness or Product Management preferred.

8–12 years of experience in the Seeds industry.

Strong experience in Seed Marketing, Product Development and Product Management.

-
Good understanding of market research, product lifecycle, pricing, positioning and product profitability.

-
Experience working with R&D; and Sales teams.

Robust business acumen and analytical skills.

-
Good communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and market research tools.
