The Lifecycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) Engineer is responsible for assessing and optimizing the total cost of ownership of products, systems, services, and fleets across their operational lifecycle. The role combines engineering understanding, cost modelling, reliability insights, data analytics, and stakeholder engagement to support robust business decisions for maintenance, product improvement, service strategy, and customer proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle Cost Modelling: Develop, maintain, and improve lifecycle cost models covering acquisition, operation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and disposal phases

Cost Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze historical cost, maintenance, shop visit, reliability, and operational data to identify trends, forecast future cost exposure, and support planning decisions.

Reliability & Maintenance Cost Assessment: Quantify the cost impact of reliability issues, component failures, maintenance burden, service disruptions, and engineering changes

Engineering Decision Support: Support trade-off studies by comparing cost, performance,



reliability, risk, safety, maintainability, and customer value impacts.

Business Case Support: Prepare cost-benefit analyses for product improvements, repair solutions, maintenance schedule changes, and service optimization initiatives.

Data Analytics & Reporting : Build dashboards, structured reports, and automated summaries using Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar tools to improve insight generation and governance.

Stakeholder Engagement : Present lifecycle cost insights to engineering, finance, product support, customer operations, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders

Proposal & Statement-of-Work Support: Provide assumptions, risks, effort estimates, deliverables, and cost-analysis inputs for proposals, RFQs, and customer reviews.
