About The Role

The primary objectives of the Packaging Technical Consultant for Regional Packaging Categories in Asia are to:

Be responsible for developing and maintaining technical specifications and standards, while working with Category Buyers in optimizing packaging costs within the broader framework of BASF’s sustainability goals and product stewardship requirements.




Provide optimum packaging selection and use for all BASF group companies and business units from technical perspective in Asia Pacific in order to be in compliance with international regulations, local laws and BASF internal requirements
Optimize the packaging specification and portfolio in the region to reduce complexity and ensure cost effectiveness.
Represent BASF for the packaging supplier technical assessments, and lobbying related local authorities to enhance packaging quality and cost effectiveness
Drive sustainability as a topic for future packaging solutions

How Will You Do It

Operational tasks Packaging Consultant for Regional Packaging Categories in Asia:

Plan, organize, and schedule the implementation of the optimization of packaging specification from technical perspective and portfolio in Asia Pacific, ensure consistency and adherence to BASF global standard
Provide clear supplier-independent packaging specifications (BASPACK/PackSTEP) to be part of the regional or global contracts with the suppliers.
Provide delegated supervision, guidance including training to business uni
