Job Summary
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components. This role applies engineering knowledge to support the planning, testing, and implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision.

You will be responsible for handling order-related engineering and design in support of fulfilling customer orders on municipal water pumps, systems and accessories.
qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; significant directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
Proficient in 3D CAD.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to document clearly and effectively at a high level both orally and in writing.
Experience in a fast-paced mechanical design environment.
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of hydraulics and pumping systems.
Experience with mechanical design of rotating equipment
Mainly 7 to 8+ years of industrial experience in Vertical Pump Design & Engineering
Experience working with an MRP system as SAP
Experience working with 3D Inventor software, 2D AutoCAD & Siemens NX.
