Position Summary: The Project Intern-Metallurgy will learn, and support ongoing research, testing, characterization, and development activities related to metals, and advanced materials.
The intern will work closely with the Materials Engineering-metallurgy team to conduct experiments, analyze data, prepare technical reports, and contribute to ongoing projects that support product performance, reliability, and material selection.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn relevant industrial practices and procedures
Assist in material characterization using laboratory techniques such as: Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) etc
Support sample preparation and testing activities.
Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
Perform literature reviews and benchmark studies.
Assist in failure analysis, material evaluation, and root cause investigations.
Prepare technical presentations and reports summarizing findings.
Follow laboratory safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
Required Qualification: Pursuing B.Tech./B.E. or M.Tech. in Metallurgy and Material Science
