Job Title: Production Engineer
Reports to: Production Manager
Department: Production

Role Purpose

The Production Engineer will support the Planning function by ensuring smooth execution of
engineering and production activities. The role is primarily technical and analytical, focusing on
planning, engineering coordination, data management, and production follow-through, rather than
shop-floor supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Planning Coordination
◦ Act as the connection between Planning and Production.
◦ Translate planning requirements into actionable production inputs.
◦ Assist in technical interpretation of drawings, BOQs, specifications, schedules, etc.

2. Data & Documentation
◦ Capture, compile, and update production data.
◦ Prepare reports, production schedules, compliance trackers, and dashboards.

3. Cross-Department Communication
◦ Follow up with production, procurement, design, and vendors to collect necessary
inputs.
◦ Ensure information flow is smooth and delays are documented and escalated.

4. Production Support




◦ Work with the Production Manager to ensure teams deliver as expected.
◦ Support management with regular reporting, status updates, and improvement
suggestions.

5. Continuous Improvement
◦ Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve productivity and planning
accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong academic background and consistent education record.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and engineering documentation.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
Three years of commitment towards the company

Nice-to-Have

• 2+ years experience in production planning, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Kannada language.
• (Optional, if you want to keep it) Preference may be given to male candidates due to job
nature/working shif
