The Credit Specialist is an essential tactical player in safeguarding the company’s assets while facilitating sales growth. Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the credit granting process, actively reviewing existing customer accounts, and assisting in the assessment of potential customers.



This position demands a high level of accuracy, a customer-centric approach to collections, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support the optimization of sales while keeping bad debt losses to a minimum.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Decisioning: Evaluate the initial creditworthiness of current and existing customers by processing credit applications, pulling credit reports, and gathering necessary financial statements and industry data for management review.
Policy Enforcement: Execute daily credit operations with strict adherence to established credit and collection policies, ensuring a constant balance between risk mitigation and business growth.
Account Reconciliation: Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies, including unapplied cash, short payments, credit memos, and misapplied funds, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounts receivable ledger.
