Position: Used Car Certification Engineer

The Used Car Certification Engineer will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating pre-owned vehicles for certification and eligibility under CWI warranty programs. The role requires strong automobile technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to independently assess vehicle condition and potential warranty risks.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspection of used vehicles at dealerships, workshops and partner locations.
Evaluate engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brakes, electrical systems, AC, body condition and safety components.
Conduct road tests and identify mechanical defects, abnormal noises and performance issues.
Verify vehicle age, odometer, service history, accident repairs and overall condition.




Capture photographs and submit accurate digital inspection/certification reports within defined timelines.
Recommend vehicles as eligible, repair-required or non-eligible as per CWI guidelines.
Coordinate with dealers and workshops for rectification of identified issues.
Ensure strict compliance with CWI certification standards and maintain complete inspection integrity.

Qualification & Experience
ITI/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering with 2–5 years of relevant experience in automobile servicing, used-car evaluation, vehicle inspection or dealership workshop operations.
Candidates should possess solid diagnostic skills, technical knowledge, reporting ability, professional integrity and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
