Role Purpose
The Dean – School of Engineering shall provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for the School of Engineering. The role is responsible for driving academic excellence, enhancing student outcomes, promoting research and innovation, strengthening industry partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing the School's reputation as a centre of excellence in engineering education and research.

Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Excellence
Provide strategic direction for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs within the School.
Ensure excellence in teaching, learning, curriculum delivery, and academic outcomes.
Lead curriculum modernization aligned with emerging technologies, industry requirements, and global engineering trends.
Promote Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and experiential learning practices.
2. Faculty Leadership & Development
Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty members and researchers.




Establish performance expectations and monitor faculty effectiveness in teaching, research, and institutional contribution.
Drive faculty development initiatives, certifications, research capability building, and leadership development.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
3. Student Success & Employability
Monitor student academic performance, retention, progression, and graduation outcomes.
Strengthen mentoring systems, skill development initiatives, and career readiness programs.
Promote student participation in technical competitions, hackathons, innovation challenges, and qualified societies.
Enhance placement readiness and industry exposure opportunities.
4. Research, Innovation & Technology Development
Promote high-impact research, publications, patents, funded projects, and technology development initiatives.
Encourage interdisciplinary research and collaboration across Schoo
