Key Responsibilities

The Senior Building Automation Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex building automation systems for our commercial and industrial clients. This individual will serve as a technical lead on projects, driving innovation and providing expert guidance to both team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering:
- Develop and review detailed designs, including system architecture,



electrical schematics, and control logic, for building automation projects.
- Select appropriate Building Automation Controls Systems (BACS)- former defined as Direct Digital Control (DDC) hardware, field devices (sensors, actuators), and network components to meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, including ASHRAE, LEED, BREEAM, Green Globals and local building codes.
- Programming & Commissioning (Cold and Hot):
- Program and configure BAS controllers and front-end user interfaces for systems like HVAC, lighting, and access control. (only as add on/nice to have)
- Perform in office commissioning and start-up to ensure systems are installed and functioning correctly according to the design specifications.
- Perform point-to-point checks, calibrate field devices, and optimize system performance.
