Job Description – Assistant Finance Manager

Reports To: Finance Controller

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager with solid experience in trading businesses. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to GST compliance, financial reporting, and FP&A; support. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of working closely with business teams to support financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger balances.




- Support statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors.

GST & Direct Tax Compliance
- Prepare and review GST returns.
- Reconcile GST input tax credits and ensure compliance with GST regulations.
- Coordinate with tax consultants on assessments and notices.
- Support TDS compliance and other statutory filings.

Trading Business Accounting
- Manage accounting for domestic and import trading transactions.
- Review inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

FP&A; Support
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards.
- Analyse revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, and working capital.
- Support variance analysis against budgets and prior periods.
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
