Pathologist - Roles and Responsibilities
- Examine tissue, blood, body fluids, and other laboratory specimens using microscopic, chemical, immunologic, and molecular techniques.
- Interpret laboratory findings and provide accurate, timely diagnostic reports.
- Diagnose diseases and medical conditions based on laboratory analyses.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding diagnostic findings and patient management.
- Oversee laboratory quality assurance and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Supervise and provide guidance to laboratory technologists and technical staff.
- Review and validate laboratory test results before release.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling, storage,



and documentation of laboratory specimens.
- Maintain accurate medical records and pathology reports.
- Stay current with advances in pathology, laboratory medicine, and diagnostic technologies through continuing medical education.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications
- MD, DNB, or equivalent qualification in Pathology from a recognized institution.
- TNMC registration as required by applicable regulations.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience
