Job Summary

The Shift In-Charge is responsible for managing all production activities during the assigned shift to ensure secure, efficient, and quality-focused operations. The role involves manpower management, productivity monitoring, quality compliance, machine utilization, and achievement of daily production targets while maintaining food safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Execute daily production plans as per schedule.
- Ensure achievement of shift-wise production targets.
- Monitor line efficiency, productivity, and output.
- Minimize downtime, wastage, and production losses.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams for smooth operations.

Manpower Management




- Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and shift deployment.
- Train operators and helpers on SOPs and best practices.
- Conduct shift briefings and performance reviews.

Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and Food Safety standards.
- Verify adherence to SOPs and process parameters.
- Coordinate with QA team for in-process quality checks.
- Ensure proper segregation and handling of non-conforming products.

Productivity & Efficiency
- Track productivity and efficiency of production lines.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor machine utilization and labor productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve output and reduce losses.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all plant safety procedures.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure proper PPE usage.
